Project Overview

Gomibo needed an internal system to streamline their malfunction reporting process. Previously, reports were handled through google docs, but they wanted an internal tool where employees can submit a report and maintenance personal can easily view them. Our team developed a centralized web application that allows staff to report issues and maintenance personnel to track and resolve them efficiently.

My Contributions

• Led a team of 2 frontend developers, delegating tasks and reviewing submitted code
• Designed user interfaces in Figma, creating mockups for both reporter and maintenance views
• Implemented the frontend using React.js with component-based architecture
• Integrated with backend APIs to fetch and update report data in real-time
• Implemented responsive design for use on tablets and mobile devices in the field

Project Overview

This was my first freelance web development project! I was approached to create a website for a week-long fitness retreat taking place in Holbox, Mexico. The client wanted a light, beachy site that would capture the essence of their retreat while making it easy for potential participants to learn about the event and register.

• Eye-catching landing page that immediately conveys the retreat's energy and vibe
• Clear presentation of what the fitness retreat entails
• Accommodation details and pricing tiers
• Information about instructors with photos and bios
• Mobile-responsive design since most users browse on phones

Challenges & Solutions

• Working with a real client: This was my first experience managing client expectations, feedback cycles, and deadlines. I learned to ask clarifying questions upfront and provide regular updates throughout development.
• Design without a design team: I had to wear multiple hats: developer and designer. This pushed me to improve my eye for design and learn design principles beyond just coding.
